It seems like I spend a bit too much time searching the absolute dregs of the internet for whatever weird inspiration I crave. I usually come across website after website of really silly stuff (no, I won’t name names or link links) but every once in a while I uncover a gem, for example a complete collection of FATE Magazine covers -
Not familiar with Fate Magazine?
FATE is a magazine of paranormal phenomena co-founded in 1948 by Raymond A. Palmer (editor of Amazing Stories) and Curtis Fuller. In January 2010, FATE launched a new website featuring news, articles, and blogs written by experts and paranormal researchers.
Promoted as the world’s leading magazine of the paranormal, it has published expert opinions and personal experiences relating to UFOs, psychic abilities, ghosts and hauntings, cryptozoology, alternative medicine, divination methods, belief in the survival of personality after death, Fortean phenomena, predictive dreams, mental telepathy, archaeology, warnings of death, and other paranormal topics. Though FATE is aimed at a popular audience and tends to emphasize personal anecdotes about the paranormal, American writer and frequent FATE contributor Jerome Clark says the magazine features a substantial amount of serious research and investigation, and occasional debunking of dubious claims.
If you are interested in checking some out real life they are always on eBay and Tarantula Hill Esoteric Library has a really amazing collection.
